Al Dente Linguini with Shrimp & Asparagus

Al dente linguini, tender, moist shrimp and crisp cuts of delicious asparagus meld together in a delightfully flavorful, seafood cream sauce. A new take on a classic Joy of Cooking® dish.

What You'll Need

 

1 Small Red Bell Pepper

1 tsp. Freshly Minced Garlic

1/4 cup White Wine

1 Tbsp. Freshly Chopped Chives

 

Instructions

 

Slice pepper into strips (julienne cut). Combine pepper, minced garlic and white wine in a sauté pan and bring to a simmer. Add Linguini with Shrimp and Asparagus and cook as directed. In the last minute of cooking, add the chopped chives. Remove from heat and let stand 2-3 minutes before serving.

COOKING GUIDELINES
For food safety and quality, follow these cooking instructions. Cook thoroughly to at least 165°F before eating. Promptly refrigerate unused portions.
 
Ovens vary. Cooking times may need adjustment.
 
RECOMMENDED: SKILLET
Pour contents into skillet. Cook in covered skillet on medium to high heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Let stand 2-3 minutes before serving.
 
SECONDARY: MICROWAVE OVEN (1200 Watt)
Pour contents into microwave-safe bowl. Cover and microwave on HIGH for 7 minutes. Stir, re-cover and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes. Let stand in microwave for 2-3 minutes. Carefully remove from microwave. Stir contents and serve.
           
CAUTION:  DO NOT COOK IN BAG.
